What does Lapinlahti sound like under its surface?
What lies in its depths?
These questions were explored in this immersive installation based on underwater sound recordings and found objects from the bottom of Lapinlahti bay in Helsinki. The work was exhibited in Kammio Gallery in August 2023.
I recorded the sounds during the spring and summer of 2023. The objects were found from the bottom of the bay by divers Akira Ahola and Janne Kaarla (ig: @clean_discover & yt: @cleandiscover).
