Suovillat is a light art installation for the Hervanta campus tram stop consisting of several light fixtures resembling flowers found in bog habitats. The sculpture is inspired by the surrounding area’s native flora (Eriophorum). At night the flowers provide illumination and visual cues for the tram’s arrival.
Suovillat won the first place in the competition organised by Tampereen Ratikka in 2020. The installation has been in place since January 2022.
